I went for a massage with my daughter, but it ended up hurting me more than helping me. I had a female masseuse who didn’t know what she was doing. She just kept pressing on sore muscles. When I asked her to actually massage and use some lotion she did so, but wasn’t skilled. I left there very disappointed and sore. Worst massage ever!
I got a deep tissue massage for my lower back and it was amazing! Very professional and I will be back!

Massage was great but when it came down to leave, cashier (guy) tried forcing me to tip minimum 20 dllrs when I already paid for the half hour. I appreciated the massage because it was well needed but to have to argue over a tip I didn’t want to give is mind blowing. And because I didn’t tip, I was told to never come back. No problem 🫡. Idk if he thought I got happy ending but not the case here. Massage only is what I wanted and it’s what I got.
My husband and I decided to go to Bamboo Spa on a whim this Friday for a couple’s massage. They were able to accommodate us as a walk-in 10 minutes after we showed up. Since they were new to the area, they didn’t have a lot of reviews but they had a good price ($60 for a 40 minute body massage and 30 minute foot massage) and we wanted to stay local. Close to 7-11 and the Library, this place is in a great location if you live in Allied Gardens or the Mission Gorge Area. The staff spoke limited English, but they were very nice and helpful, which made the experience pleasant. My husband said it was the best foot massage he had ever experienced and I couldn’t agree more. We also received a hot stone treatment during our massage. Overall, my husband and I really enjoyed our experience at Bamboo Spa and it was nice that they offered a stamp card for returning customers. Parking: Plaza parking near 7-11 Price: $ Recommendation: Hot stone for $5 more!
